Support for work placements
Some study programs include an internship, a co-op term or another mandatory work placement. We check the conditions that apply to your program and help you make sure your situation meets IRCC's requirements.
How we can help
- Checking your program and the work placement requirements
- Reviewing the conditions on your study permit
- Checking the documents provided by the educational institution
- Checking your eligibility to do the work placement in Canada
- Support as needed, depending on your particular situation
Please note: since April 1, 2026, eligible post-secondary students generally no longer need a separate work permit for the mandatory work placements that are part of their program. Students at the secondary level may still need a co-op work permit.
