The Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ) is the mandatory document for anyone wishing to immigrate permanently to Quebec. It marks the successful completion of your provincial selection before proceeding to the federal permanent residency stage.
Following recent legislative changes, the pathways to obtaining a CSQ have evolved:
Once you have your CSQ in hand, you must submit an application to the federal government to obtain permanent residency. This final phase includes security screenings and medical examinations conducted by IRCC.
The CSQ also facilitates obtaining a temporary work permit, allowing you to start your career in Quebec without waiting for federal processing times to be completed.
