Ontario Express Entry โ Tech Stream
The OINP Tech Stream targets technology professionals in specific NOC codes: software developers (21231), data scientists (21211), cybersecurity engineers (21220), IT managers (0213), and others in TEER 0 and 1. Unlike federal Express Entry, OINP scores are calculated using a province-specific point system that heavily rewards Ontario work experience and language skills.
๐ OINP + Express Entry: The Winning Combination
An OINP nomination automatically adds 600 CRS points to your Express Entry profile. If your CRS is currently between 450 and 519, a provincial nomination is the fastest strategy to secure a permanent residence ITA. Contact us to assess your eligibility for Express Entry + PNP.
How to Apply to the OINP
- Create a profile on the OINP portal
- Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)
- Wait for an invitation if your score meets the draw threshold
- Submit the complete application within 45 days of the invitation
Important: Applying to the OINP is free and independent of your federal Express Entry profile. You can apply to both simultaneously โ a provincial nomination does not remove your profile from the federal pool.
